Squarepusher - Dark Steering

I found this on Sub-Radar-Mike's blog and really loved it. It's dark and what a trip it takes you on. I highly recommend turning the quality to 1080P and putting it on full screen. Reminds me of Daft Punk with the helmet but much more crazy and faster bpm.

Bassnectar Explains Dubstep (in under 3 minutes)
I thought this was pretty interesting. Worth checking out as he explains the differences between many electronic genres while also ultimately explaining dubstep. And it's even short and to the point at under 3 minutes.
-EDIT- The video I previously posted was removed, this video is more lengthy but the 3 minute explanation starts at 55 seconds.

Skittles Boom Box
Here's some happy chip-tune music to a Skittles Boom Box with some dancing by Nathan Barnatt and Lindsay Ames aka Trale and Stale Lewous. I sometimes have a little obsession with chip music. Must be all the video games as a kid.
If you want some more dancing goodness, check out my previous post for Nathan's video of Madeon - Pop Culture.

Justice - AUDIO, VIDEO, DISCO.

New Justice track that a lot are calling "underwhelming". I have pretty high expectations after experiencing the "Cross" album several years ago. However, I'm still excited to see what else they are producing.
The video is nice enough but it's not a good thing when that's all I can say I like about the song. The name is nice too, but the music just doesn't grab me.
Has Justice lost their touch?

Another Madeon Post [Video]
Yes another Madeon post but he's so awesome so why not.
It's a music video for 'Pop Culture' that was done very well. I love how they don't use any special effects but instead use clever positioning and perspective like a well taken photograph. The idea that music creates an atmosphere where you can't help but dance is fantastic. Everything about the video, the scenes, the people and positioning all is mesmerizing to say the least. I've watched the video at least a dozen times now.
Music is perfect. Video is perfect. Recipe of success for Madeon. He's going viral!

[House] It's Madeon!

I recently had a request to do a Madeon post so here it is! Madeon is a 17 year old French producer making outstanding house dance music.
His distinct sound takes inspiration from glitch electro and melodic pop music. His tracks are simple yet striking and find a great balance that many artists do not achieve.
His most recent work, 'Pop Culture' involves taking samples from over 39 songs. It's amazing to watch him work and his music is organic and pleasing. 'Pop Culture' has over three million views and has been highly successful. An avid listener made a video to match the song that is also quite good. Check that out here. Or watch the original Madeon do it live on his sampler below.
See more of his work after the jump!

Goldfish - We Come Together [Video]
I thought this video was quite awesome in many ways. Not only is the music funky and refreshing but the video has so many references and memes in it that every second is worth watching. Careful not to blink you might miss something haha. The art style of resembling old school graphics is simply amazing and brings nostalgia all in one package.
I found it on Bulletproof Zombie's Blog so credit is due where credit is due.
N-JOY!

Highlight Tracks from The 'S' + Death & Rainbows Video

I've been inspired by yesterday's Death & Rainbows EP post to highlight some of my favorite tracks from the Italian duo. A blast from the past if you will.
Also they released a video for their album release.
These are some of my highlight tracks from The 'S'. Check em.

Flying Lotus
I want to share something a little different today. Not the normal Electro like usual but still pure awesome electronic music. I actually found this on this blog by Sub Radar and thought this is definitively worth posting! It's trippy, has a nice mellow beat and is quite unique.

The Documentary: "The Electro Wars"
Sorry I have been gone for almost two weeks! Life was hectic and blogging had to take a backseat. I'm back and ready to get down :)
This documentary is really interesting. It covers the history of Electro and its roots back in 1928 with the "moog synthesizer" invented by Robert Moog. Also how electro has had huge influence over other musical genres as well. Electro is not just a style of music but a genre exploding as its own category.
Check it!
Also I redid the site logo a bit :)
